Year 12 Excel In Work Experience Fortnight
Year 12 students at Harris Academy Battersea spent the last two weeks of work experience working on their employability skills.
They took part in virtual work experience delivered by a nationally recognised company. Alongside a busy schedule of videos and live calls with employers, as well as some mindfulness activities, the students spent the week putting together a powerpoint presentation and filming an elevator pitch in response to the brief they selected.
This week they were given the opportunity to put their skills to the test during mock interviews. These interviews were able to take place due to our partnership with Battersea Powerstation who helped us get volunteers from multiple companies including Sir Robert McAlpine and Mace.
It was incredible to see how some students took to the challenges. With one year 12 student excelling herself by delivering a high-quality professional video pitch (rich with animations!). Watch it below!
