Your Options - Year 9 into Year 10
The options you choose in Year 9 are a vital part of your education as they determine what you will study for the next two years. The choices you make will be among the most important decisions in your school career and will have an impact on the rest of your life.
Subjects you choose to study may well lead to an A Level, university degree, career or lifelong passion. There are some subjects that you must continue to study but there is not enough time to continue with all the subjects from Key Stage 3. Therefore, you will have to make some decisions about what you continue studying.

The Options Process
After Year 9 parents and carers evening, students and their families will be invited to consider their options preferences carefully and complete an Options Preferences Form online at the end of the Spring term.
During the first half of the summer term, students who require further guidance or who have selected preferences that aren't possible will be invited to a short meeting with a Senior Leader where they will recieve advice if necessary, and finalise their options preferences.
Options will be confirmed in the summer term, subject to changes to the timetable.
