Second Annual Culture Day is "Amazing"
On Wednesday 19th July, HABS celebrated its second annual Culture Day on the theme of 'Be seen and feel proud'.
Festivities included a cultural assembly filled with quizzes, performances, a fashion show, and an epic dance battle. Students also engaged in a cooking workshop, dance masterclass, Britto art activities, a world languages session and an empowering PSHE session on culture and identity. It was a pleasure to see the HABS community united in celebration!
What students said...
"Culture Day was amazing! Even though we had a tough time rehearsing and organising the day it ended up being very rewarding and memorable. I learnt how to work as a team and listen to the ideas of others when organising the dance. I stepped out of my comfort zone and really enjoyed performing to the school." Samoya, Year 10
"It was really enjoyable to see everyone having so much fun together." Julia, Year 10
Eid ul Adha
We had a few Year 7s joining us in a painting session after school for late celebrations of Eid ul Adha. A nice end to Culture Day!
