Wild Science Animal Handling Workshop
On Wednesday 25th September Harris Academy Battersea received some very special visitors from Wild Science, who run animal workshops for students.
Students had the opportunity to experience handling a diverse range of animals including amphibians, invertebrates, mammals and reptiles.
Guided by the animal expert from Wild Science, the students built on their knowledge of biology and the environment by learning about animal habitats, conservation and life cycle.
Students and teachers alike built on their resilience by handling some less than usual visitors such as a tarantula and a corn snake.
This visit was part of our ongoing commitment to providing diverse and engaging enrichment opportunities for our students. We would like to thank the 60 students who attended for their enthusiasm and the respect and integrity they showed our visitors.
