Brief match report |
We went down 1-0 early on in the first half, however we managed to equalise 10 minutes before half time. Ark Bolingbroke scored again leaving it 2-1 at the break. In the second half, the boys gained their composure and played some excellent attacking football. Temi scored a great solo goal by dribbling through the defence, which brought us back equal. An amazing diving save by Ison from an Ark Bolingbroke free kick on the edge of the box, meant the visitors were held to their 2 goals in the first half. In the end, we ran away winners with the end result being 4-2 to Battersea. |

A mixed performance from the two sides we took to OpenView. Team 1 struggled and didn’t make it out of there group but in there 2-0 win Rio went on a Messi-esq dribble and smashed into the bottom corner.
Team 2 fared much better – beating every team they played against bar one where they drew 1-1. Mnat was pivotal in going forward for the team scoring 6 of the 9 goals the team scored. Unfortunately they lost on goal difference and finished second. |

The boys worked well as a team and showed so much effort and resilience even when they were losing in the second game. Was unfortunate to lose that game and to not score any points in the third game. They thoroughly enjoyed the day and was a credit to the school with their performance and behaviour. |

Even though the girls did not win any matches, they played okay considering it was their first tournament. There were loads that needed to be improved on and throughout the tournament they started to improve on this, however just failed to find chances to score. |

Good performance from the girls. They worked hard in the first game and should have won it but made silly mistakes which they worked on in the second game. They did well to come back and win 6-2 in the second game and was unfortunate to not score a point in the last game. They had tired themselves out by playing a really great performance in that second game. |
