CTEC Sport Students Visit to Chatham Ski Centre
Year 12 and 13 students are required to take part in an outdoor sports activity as part of their unit 18 CTEC Sports course.
We travelled to Chatham Ski Centre, Kent, by minibus on a very wet Thursday afternoon. The students were suited and booted in their ski boots and skis. They then made their way to the practice slopes were they were taught how to use their equipment and the correct technique to ski successfully.
Taylor was the first one to fall down (as predicted!) but he soon dusted himself off and got back up. This set us up for an afternoon full of learning and laughter (a great combination). Students showed great integrity when helping each other, whether by giving advice or helping someone up after they’d fallen.
The weather gave us all a true representation of what it would be like on the mountains with rain and sleet all day, but overall it was a very successful day and all students passed.
Well done to Frankie, Taylor, Victoria, Mahad, David, Keyon, Diego, Omar, Ismael, Hibad, Elian and Reece.
