Year 10 Explore the World Of Work
Year 10 students at Harris Academy Battersea took part in a Virtual Work Experience programme last week, delivered by a nationally recognised company Changing Education.
Alongside a busy schedule of videos and live calls with employers, as well as some mindfulness activities, the students spent the week putting together a powerpoint presentation and an elevator pitch in response to a brief.
The week ended with them getting an opportunity to deliver their elevator pitch to wonderful volunteers from a variety of companies, ranging from LinkedIn and REG Technologies, to Accenture.
The students rose to the challenge! It was wonderful to see their confidence grow, how they took on feedback, and their eagerness to redo their pitch and improve.
