Lunchtime Chess Tournament Sees 18 Compete

Harris Battersea finished its first ever lunchtime chess tournament in May. We started with 18 students and, through heated competition, managed to narrow it down to our two finalists, Elvin and Nikanor, both in Year 9.

After a fierce battle, Elvin came out on top and became our first ever Chess Master, receiving a special trophy for winning. With the competition being so popular, there are sure to be many more chess tournaments in the future. Congratulations Elvin!
