George Reaches Final of Music Composition Festival

We are delighted that George has been shortlisted as a finalist in the MusicFirst Young Creative Musician Festival, which invites students to submit their own musical compositions for assessment.

PianoThere are six finalists (two in each age category), so George (pictured) is up against one other in the 15-16 category. The winner of each age category will be announced by British saxophonist, composer, and broadcaster YolanDa Brown during the masterclass and an excerpt of the winning piece will be played and commented on by her.

The final takes place on Tuesday 27th June at 4pm and will be live-streamed. It is a great opportunity for all students to learn from a professional musician and hear her talk about her journey to success in the industry. Good luck George!
