HABS Year 7's Kick Off Junior NBA Season with Spirit and Determination!

The game, held on Monday, ended with a score of 12-6 in favor of Platanos College. However, the score didn’t dampen the spirits of the Year 7 players, most of whom are new to basketball. Coach Ken also called upon two Year 8 students to provide support and guidance on the court, a decision that helped foster team spirit and offered valuable mentoring.

"Under the circumstances, they have done extremely well," Coach Ken shared. "Many of the players are just starting out with basketball, and while they love the game, they haven’t yet had a chance to learn all the fundamentals. That's what makes this journey so exciting for me. They’re not only great young athletes but also fantastic students."

The game inspired many of the players to further their skills, with several students expressing a newfound interest in joining the school’s basketball club to develop their abilities and knowledge of the game. This enthusiasm is exactly what Coach Ken hopes to foster in the team.

With this season opener behind them, the Year 7 squad is ready to work hard, improve, and continue representing HABS with pride. Let’s go, HABS!
