Year 9 Basketball Team Clinches Thrilling 41-40 Victory Over St. Gabriel's College

Last night’s matchup between the Year 9 boys of Habs and St. Gabriel’s College delivered intense action, with both teams battling hard until the very end. The game was close from start to finish, but Habs managed to secure the victory by just a single point in a dramatic showdown.

At the heart of this incredible win was Year 9 standout Shaun Khumalo, who scored at least 25 points and was unstoppable on both ends of the court. Going head-to-head with a talented national league player from St. Gabriel’s, Shaun showed remarkable skill, tenacity, and humility, emerging as a key force in the Habs lineup. His outstanding performance proved essential in the team's success and demonstrated his potential as a future star in the sport.

The whole squad deserves recognition for their contributions and unwavering team spirit. Shout-outs go to Yag, Ethan, Kayda, Adeeb, Tawana, Samuel, Thomas, Donnell, Michael, and Shaun for their roles in this hard-fought victory. The players’ resilience, quick problem-solving, and commitment to executing their strategies made this victory possible. Their teamwork and camaraderie were on full display, embodying the phrase, "Teamwork makes the dream work."
